hello! Welcome back! Just a few weeks ago we went on an emergency trip.
here is how it happened:
James and I were sitting on the couch while mom and dad were busy gathering information. You see, dad's dad had a type of cancer, his name was William and his apartment that he lived in had a lot of valuable things, oh and not to mention a cat was in there too. We needed to find a place for him to stay until he found a new home. At 9:00 a.m., mom and dad were discussing if we should leave to go to William's apartment to get the cat to a resort or something and get his valuables and wrap everything. Finally, mom and dad's heads popped up from their conversation and dad said '' We're leaving today.'' James and I jumped up. In no time we were ready and eating our lunch. We left at 2:00 p.m. and arrived at our grandparents' house at 6:00 p.m.
The next day we went to William's apartment and started looking around for valuables. I found some cat figurines and James found a water gun. We were told that the cat could be hiding anywhere so we started looking around. We found the cat under the bed. We said hello to the cat. He backed away and hissed. When we were done collecting the valuables, we went into the room with the cat and got out a sheet. Our grandma went under the bed and covered the sheet on top of the cat. He meowed, then he hissed. She tried to nudge him out from under the bed but he wedged himself behind the bed's legs. Finally she let go of the cat.We weren't gonna do it today. After that we carried the boxes full of the valuables to the car and drove back to our grandparents' house for the night.

The next day we stayed in the house while dad went back to the apartment to wrap dishes and stuff with his friend Martin. In the afternoon we visited the apartment and helped wrapping dishes. We were halfway through when some guys came in through the door. Mom said they were here to take out all the furniture .We watched them as they carried the IKEA furniture out of the apartment. Not only did they tear the furniture out but they threw it off a high balcony into the truck below. We went from the apartment to the balcony over and over again watching the guys throw cabinets, shelfs and more down into the truck. In the middle of doing all of that, we managed to get the cat in a carrier. At the end, we were able to throw some of the pieces of furniture and little accessories down into the truck. It was so much fun! The guys went in their truck and drove over to Williams garage and checked it out. When they were about to leave I rushed over to both of them and each gave them a $20 bill. Once they drove away, mom, James and I went into the car and drove over to In-n-out to get some lunch. James and I got burgers and fries and lemonade fruit punch. Mom and dad got burgers and fries too but instead of lemonade they got iced tea. After we finished lunch we got back in the car and drove to our grandparents house. The day after that we slept in late. Mom and dad woke us up so that we could start packing so that we could leave. After James and I packed our bags, grandma took us to the zoo so that mom and dad would have time to pack their bags. At the zoo there were monkeys, elephants, giraffes and more .We even saw a cute little otter! After that we went to the gift shop but there was nothing we really wanted so instead we went to Target. James bought a nerf gun and I bought a little stuffed animal snow leopard. I named my snow leopard Snowy. We got back just in time to see mom and dad hitching up our little extra bag to carry stuff on top of the car. Finally it was time to go. We buckled into our seats and said goodbye a few times. It was 3:30, a pretty late time to leave but it was what we had to do. We turned on our movies and got out of the driveway and we zoomed off and we went on. For dinner we went to Olive Garden and got some nice broccoli and steak. Mom and dad got salads. By the time we were finished eating it was 5 o'clock we thanked Olive Garden and got back in the car and we started driving back home. A few couple hours later we stopped at a rest stop so we can go to the bathroom. At that time it was 11 o'clock. When we finally pulled into our driveway it was 12:30 o'clock p.m. I dragged myself out of the car and into the shower for a quick rinse. Immediately after that I flopped into bed and went to sleep, that was the biggest day I had had in years.
You are a great story teller, Camille!
