2 New nests!!!

 hi again! At My Friend's house we found 2 new humming bird nests!

On April 8, My friends and I were having a playdate at my friend's house. They had made a giant clubhouse with some pallets and a tarp. It was cozy and had a picnic table and a bucket full of pinecones and small rocks to throw at charging intruders. The clubhouse also had a lookout where you stepped on a piece of wood nailed to a tree and you would climb it like a ladder. Also, we came with clippers to cut the branches on the tree that were in the way of the lookout. Wile we were clipping, I almost cut a branch with a nest on it! I showed my friends the nest and bent down the branch that was holding the nest for my friends to see. There were two baby chicks in the nest with their beaks wide open! It was so exiting to have baby birds in reach! Then James said ''Here's another." Sure enough, there was another nest just laying on the tarp near the lookout. I climbed the lookout and peered into the nest. There was one little egg in the nest and it had a little, light brown spot on it. A few minutes later we figured out that there were 2 girls and 1 boy. The two babies in the nest that had already hatched were named, Emily and Max and the one that was an egg was named Chloe. 

When James and I went home, we told dad and mom what happened. They were exited too. So now every day, we go out and check on the birds and they're always a happy family.
